This meter when used properly and safe will last you a long time.
If you can afford a pro model buy all means... but if your a semi pro or a pro on a budget this is a perfect meter for the home diy or pro. Or a simple handyman who knows what he or she is doing. A meter is nothing to play around with if you don't know what you are doing. Check and test outlets, fuses, switches, ground, volts,amps,resistance. Also great ladies for that handy hubbie as a gift. Also a great gift for that who are or know about electrical work and that. the flaw is that these instrument are very delecate so be extra careful not to drop it. I would definitely recommend to for home use but I also have experience.
