This book by Carole P. Roman called "If you Were Me and Lived in Colonial America" is a fabulous, educational yet entertaining book fir children or adults. I personally loved it as an adult but why not? Reminds me of stories my grandmother told me.
Taking you back in time through times where children had real chores, hard chores, worked as a family, were not rich. This book gives children of our time a chance to relive the past and learn what they ate, wore as clothes, did for entertainment.
Wonderful work and detailed images come to my mind when reading. Since I abd my children have read this, we're passing it along to my daughter's third grade teacher. This book truly has so much to learn from. Highly recommended!
